Festival News

This year the festival is pleased to announce its inaugural Children’s Programme – a new innovation that aims to bring the Festival to younger audiences.

(The Festival’s usual age restriction of 18 years and over, does not apply to these films.)

Films include; Max Minsky and Me, a family-orientated comedy set in modern-day Jewish Berlin; and The Year My Parents Went on Vacation, a heart-warming story about 12-year-old Mario, whose biggest concern is whether Brazil wins the World Cup.

For those a little older, Just an Ordinary Jew, Oliver Hirschbiegel’s acclaimed drama addresses the thorny issue of what it means to be Jewish in contemporary Germany; and Letters to Jenny, a deeply moving story about the ties that bind.
